An earthquake rattled the Iranian provinces of Fars and Hormuzganm, injuring 15 people and damaging several residential buildings, state media reported Wednesday.
The quake with a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale affected four villages near the town of Lamerd, the reports said. The US Geological Survey sid the quake struck at 1938 GMT Tuesday at a depth of 10 kilometres.
