Stong quake hits Costa Rica

A strong 6.1 magnitude earthquake rattled Costa Rica Monday night, the U.S. Geological Survey said. There were no immediate reports of damage.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 46 miles (74 km) south-southwest of San Jose, Costa Rica and 97 miles (156 km) west, southwest of Limon.

The quake was 46 miles (29 km) deep, the USGS said.
